I had an ugly accident, which almost yanked off my shoulder. I had no health or any other kind of insurance, no doctor, and a helpless, wheelchair-bound father who depended on me as the only person available to help him with daily life. I didn't trust lawyers but had no one else to turn to. Dad and I had no other options available though, so I took a desperate and guarded chance. When I first met Mark I had my bicep ripped from the shoulder... the muscle completely flaccid and drooped down to my elbow. The shoulder cuff had been completely torn apart. My strength and range of motion on that side was virtually nil. As I write these words I'm simply amazed that both shoulder and bicep are now almost good as new - maybe better. I just don't see how it could have turned out this way if I hadn't connected with and trusted Mark. All of these months, Mark's primary and genuine concern was for my health, my sanity and for my Dad. He adopted my agenda without trying to impose his own, or maybe his agenda is simply and naturally always that of his clients'. It took me a while to realize that he had and always acted as though he were my closest family member who just wanted what was best for me and mine. I think we can agree that we all share the common experience of wanting what's best for those whom we care, but so often reality just refuses to align itself with our most fervent desires. Mark however, managed to meet and exceed my most optimistic hopes, his promises unwaveringly kept not by accident but by persevering and constant intent. Dad got his care, all my medical bills are paid for, my credit remains intact and I even got cash in my pocket, which I hadn't expected. I never once had to put a dime towards the approximate $100,000 in medical bills, nor did I ever have to field a call from a medical biller asking for money. I'm proud and pleased to call Mark Smith my trusted attorney. For me. personally, he's become more than that: a true friend. I'm not so proud of having once been my own brand of bigot, thinking all lawyers are 'shysters'. I guess like with all walks of life there are good folks and bad.
